Foundation’s mission revolves around nurturing the sport’s inclusivity for participants of all ages.

Upholding values such as integrity, inclusivity, safety, and collaboration, the Foundation has become a cornerstone in the squash community.

Board of Directors

Visionary Leadership, Expert Management, and Community Dedication

The Bow Valley Squash Foundation’s Board is comprised of dedicated squash enthusiast’s and business professionals who are committed to adding quality of life squash opportunities to Bow Valley residents.

The foundation’s initiatives span Junior Outreach programs, adult engagement, and impactful partnerships, with collaboration for outreach to new Canadians.

The dedication of individuals in the past such as Ron Coggan, Richard Bremner and Jennifer MacAulay demonstrates a commitment to sustain free Junior & Adult squash programs and competitive opportunities.

Our Board of Directors

Every year in April, board directors are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), and once elected serve a one-year term. Members of the board can repeat their term by submitting the intention to do so at the AGM. This year’s members are:

Kevin Arnsdorf

President

Kevin was elected President of the Foundation in April 2024 after a few years of facilitating the Junior Outreach Squash program & Adult Try it programs.

He looks forward to supporting the growth of squash in the Bow Valley by creating more opportunities for all residents through enhanced partnerships with the Settlement Services of the Bow Valley and the Town of Banff.

Jarred Brink

Vice President

Newly appointed Director in 2024, and re-elected Director & Vice President for 2025 Jarred, brings with him 20 years of squash playing experience to the BVSF. He aims to support the BVSF regular programming as well as supporting community engagement and coaching. The BVSF would like to thank Jarred for taking on the responsibility of Assistant 2026 SaSquash Tournament Director for this coming year, Jan 9-11.

Joe Buckley

Director

Joe was elected in April 2024 to the Board of Directors. He is a 29-year-old squash coach from England with a deep passion for sport, wellbeing, and the outdoors. Having played competitively between he ages of 14 and 23, he gained invaluable experience at a high level in squash with experience coaching university teams, blending competitive expertise with a love for teaching. The BSVF welcomes Joe to the team!

Bruce Gysel

Treasurer

The BVSF would like to welcome Bruce Gysel, the new Treasurer to the Bow Valley Board of Directors recently elected at the Annual General Meeting on April 13, 2025. Bruce joins the BVSF with extensive business, accounting and professional experience as a CPA as well as a squash player for many years. He is passionate about squash and is a coach in the Junior Outreach & Adult Try It programs which are offered each year in the fall, winter and spring seasons.

Misty Kendal

Secretary

The BVSF would like to welcome Misty Kendal to the Board of Directors as a Director and Secretary of the Foundation. She was elected at the recent Annual General meeting on April 13, 2025. She joins the Foundation with extensive experience in community sports and business as well as an avid squash player!

Joe Pearce

Director

The BVSF would like to welcome Joe Pearce to the Board of Directors as a new Director focused on the upcoming sanctioned Squash Tournament who was recently elected to the Board of Directors on April 13, 2025. He has accepted the role of Assistant Tournament Director of the annual SaSquash Tournament which will be held on Jan 9-11, 2026. Joe brings considerable business experience in the Bow Valley while being a very enthusiastic squash player.
